Lodging Policies

At the Broad Street Inn, we offer clean, comfortable, and affordable lodging. We strive to be eco-friendly by offering natural soaps in the bathrooms, line-drying our sheets when possible, practicing energy conservation, and recycling. We try our best to make every guest as happy as possible. There are a few things that we ask of each guest to make their stay enjoyable.

We ask that our guests do not smoke in the rooms or on the premises. If we find that you have smoked in your room, there will be a $100 fine.

For our guests who travel with a furry friend, we ask that you let us know ahead of time as we have only one room to accommodate pets. There is an additional charge of $25 per night, per pet. Guests may not leave their dog in the room unattended. Ask us about dog-friendly stores and restaurants downtown!

Our guests may check in at 3 p.m. For our guests who arrive early, they are welcome to check-in if their room is available. For guests arriving after 8 p.m., please advise us so we can make arrangements regarding the key. Check-out on the morning of your departure is at 11 a.m.

If our guests need to cancel their reservation for any reason, we ask that they cancel at least three days prior to their stay. There will be no charge for these guests. For guests who cancel their reservation during the three days before their stay, we will charge for the first night, only if we are unable to fill the room. On holidays and special events (including but not limited to the Wild & Scenic Film Festival, Celtic Festival, Summer Nights, Victorian Christmas, and Mardis Gras), we ask that our guests cancel at least 10 days prior to their stay.

Guests who travel with their children are more than welcome. We have mats available for kids who prefer sleeping in a separate bed, as long as prior arrangements have been made. We do have limited beds and space, so please make sure that your family will be satisfied with these arrangements. There is no additional charge for children.
