Off Broadstreet’s “Forever Meadow Green” Fridays and Saturdays 8:15 through April 20. Big-hearted hippie florist Meadow Green and two cranky ninety-year-old retired doo-wop singers perform in her 2013 World Earth Day Celebration at her Morrow Bay nursery, “The Immortal Soil.”

CATS/Community Asian Theater of the Sierra, presents “Journey to the West” at the Nevada Theatre April 11-May 4. The 16th century novel on which the play is based is a classic in China, and the characters have become favorites of the Chinese. They appear in comic books, TV cartoons, and ads for Chinese beer.

Crystal Hermitage Gardens at Ananda   www.crystalhermitage.org. Weekends April 13-14, 20-21, 27-28 10am-5pm. Beauty, color, joy – experience the exuberance of over 10,000 tulips in bloom in the world class gardens at Crystal Hermitage.

Docent led wildflower walks along the South Yuba River at Bridgeport start Saturday, March 16 at 11:00 am and continue through May 19. South Yuba River State Park Association.
