Nevada City Bicycle Classic 2011

This year marked the 51st annual Nevada City Bicycle Classic. The race makes a one-mile loop around Nevada City starting on Broad Street. Five races took place, Junior’s, Master Men’s, Women’s, Men’s Elite, and Men’s Pro. The Men’s Pro Race is the big race (the one Lance Armstrong raced and won in 2009) that started at 5:00. Ten year old Decker Krogh raced in the Junior’s Race and won for his age range! The races began at 1:00 with the Junior’s Race and ended with the Men’s Pro Race. The winners of the Men’s Pro Race were Ian Boswell in 1st place from Bend, OR; Evan Huffman in 2nd place from Elk Grove, CA; and Nate English in third place from Berkeley, CA.
